The most challenging part of taking an idea from concept to creation is to start. Startup Weekend overcomes this by immersing participants in an encouraging and inspiring environment so the startup magic can happen!
Our goal is to connect you with entrepreneurial-minded, enthusiastic people for an exciting weekend of big ideas.
COST: $26.62 – $47.12
DURATION: 54 Hours (Fri - Sun)
As an entrepreneur, startup founder or small business owner we can be hard on ourselves. Very hard on ourselves indeed.
In the road to building a successful company, we need to learn to look after ourselves as well as we look after our business.
This session will be valuable for anyone looking to learn how to treat themselves a little more kindly, and learn how this will have a flow on effect to all aspects of your life and business.
So you've had a great business idea ... but you have NO idea what to do next.
In this session, you'll learn:
A) How to identify what problem your business is solving (or if it there is even a problem)
B) How to check if your business idea has legs, ie. are there real customers out there and enough of them that are willing to pay money for your product/service
C) Why these two things are SO important to consider before you start your business

Join our new FREE fortnightly presentation series where we get local businesses to present on a business topic. Each person will have 15mins to present and 10mins for questions.
This week we'll hear from 2 local business owners Beth Boorer & Luke Baker as they give us their insights on FINDING YOUR VISION. Both have just changed their current business model and had to rethink the way they were doing business.
Beth will show us how Take the Plunge Coffee Shop runs with the primary focus on community. She'll show us why this is what get's her up in the morning and what it took to get there.
Luke has been in the telco industry for ages but recently started Open Cloud Broadband. He was fed up with the internet service other providers were offering and went out on his own. It wasn't easy but Luke has some special insight to how he pulled it all together.
We'll also be running replays of this series 2 weeks after the event but you'll miss out on asking questions, so come in and ask away.
Entrepreneur Masterclass: Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable with Queensland's Chief Entrepreneur, Steve Baxter. You MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND.
