STARTUP ONRAMP

Running every Tuesday from 5:30PM to 7:30 PM - August 27th to November 12th 2019

Startup Onramp is a training and mentoring program.

The program comprises 12 weekly workshops following a logical progression from idea validation to product development, customer acquisition, investment and growth. The workshops are delivered by Accredited AND EXPERIENCED PROGRAM Facilitators, supported by LOCAL AND STATE BASED guest presenters (including entrepreneurs, investors and subject matter experts).

It is expected, that at the end of the program participants will:

  1. have defined their market offering;

  2. have validated their ideas with the market and experts;

  3. improve their skills and understanding of the business and startup landscape;

  4. develop a viable business model with revenue streams;

  5. be able to pitch to gain co-founders, investors or enter an accelerator program;

  6. and much, much more.

What topics will be covered?

The programme will cover a wide range of startup fundamentals that will help you define, develop and grow your business. The topics will be covered by local and external experts in the training workshops and will include:

  • Introduction to startups

  • What distinguishes successful startups from failures

  • Naming and branding

  • Value proposition – how will this innovation solve your customer’s problem

  • Idea validation – is there a large market willing to pay for your innovation

  • Legal basics

  • Public relations

  • Product development

  • Customer acquisition

  • Raising investment

  • Pitching

The programme has been tailored to fit around your existing work.  We understand that starting a business is a risk, and that’s why we don’t expect you to quit your day job while you’re getting your business off the ground.  The programme, although intensive, only requires approximately three hours per week face-to-face.  Workshops are scheduled after work hours during the week, but mentoring sessions can be scheduled to suit your individual needs and can even be over the phone.

What DOES IT COST?

Applicants in the South East corner are paying up to $4,000 each to attend this programme. However due to the generous support of Bundaberg Regional Council, applicants for this first Bundaberg program will only pay half of that price at $1,980 Inc GST.

Apart from the awesome content, included as part of the program are:

  • 12 x 2 hourly weekly workshops, crammed full of valuable information, brilliant facilitators, along with local and state based expert presenters.

  • 12 x 30 minute weekly mentoring session.

  • Refreshments during each workshop.

  • Start up level membership to The Generator during the program (normally $429)
